Halida has been teaching Mandarin Chinese to our children for the last 6 years. Our daughter is 12 years old and our son 11 years old.

Halida is a dedicated teacher. As she particularly enjoys teaching, she is able to motivate children to learn an arduous language and a pleasant and creative atmosphere. She maintains a positive discipline. Therefore, our children have made tremendous progress in spoken and written Chinese. Both of them were able to skip a grade at the French School of Beijing where they are taking a Chinese course. Thanks to Halida attentive tutoring their pronunciation has dramatically improved.

She has always been a very productive dialogue with the parents. As a person, she has excellent interactive skills and high moral values. Above all, her personal cultural background allows her to be perfectly at ease in a multicultural environment and she is always keen on learning.

Halida has been my Chinese teacher for over two years.

Halida is in my view an extraordinarily good language teacher. Beyond being a well trained and experienced teacher, she has an unusual gift for the art of teaching. She has a complete understanding of both English and Chinese grammar and is able to make explanations lucidly. She is rigorous academically and requires her students to be correct in all aspects when speaking or writing.

However, she is also patient and not at all over critical. Her lessons are very enjoyable with plenty of laughter. Halida has been my teacher in both private and group lessons both of which she handles with skill and ease. She knows how to peace her students – pushing us to move forward and make progress, but not so fast so that we are discouraged.Halida is an extremely hard worker. She teaches every day from early morning till late evening. I have been her student at both extremes of the day and can attest to the fact that she teaches with as much energy and enthusiasm at 7pm as she does at 9am.

I have also noticed that she is very organized. She has many students but keeps careful note of which lesson they are studying and how far they have come along. There have been occasions where she has offered to buy a book for someone and never seems to forget to bring it to the next class as promised.

In closing I will add that Halida has quite an inspirational life story. She has come a long way in a short time. She is to be greatly admired for what she has achieved by using her excellent intellect, positive attitude and lot of very hard work. Any student has a lot to learn from her admirable example.

Halida has been our teacher from 2004 until 2005. We concentrated on studying characters, and in the 80 lessons we were able to learn nearly 900 characters.

Halida’s teaching methods include dictation, compositions, reading comprehension tests and grammar revision. She was able to tailor the course to our needs, making it possible for us to progress very quickly.

Her positive attitude contributed to relaxed learning environment. We found Halida very knowledgeable and encouraging. We enjoyed her lessons and can warmly recommend her.
